Based on the true story of an ill-fated fishing boat caught in the middle of two tremendous storms.

Wondrous special effects are the highlight here. They are truly near-perfect. The cast, lead by Clooney and Walhberg, are okay. But the film comes off more like a documentary than a piece for entertainment purposes. This is chiefly due to lack of character development of characters that aren't that interesting to begin with. Still, there's a worthwhile powerful effect in this movie that really stars Mother Nature.
