A World War II submarine crew tries to capture a limping German sub in an effort steal an Axis encoding machine.

A fine action/human drama film. Decent performances throughout, but the real highlights here are a great story and large-scale pleasing visual effects. They actually constructed a full scale replica of a U.S. WWII submarine for the production— impressive.

DVD goes highly recommended, lots of great extras.
