Within the Pacific Theater of WWII, a battle weary marine sergeant is assigned to protect a Navajo code talker. But his primary objective is to protect the code itself.
I was impressed with the story, the action and the performances. Adam Beach is interesting and affable as the younger of two code talkers. Cage gives another inspired performance and John Woo seems to have blended his talents here to produce a fine film.
Windtalkers was largely missed in the theaters, I believe it's release date was pushed back several times. This is a film you'll want to see or own now, however.
