A yuppie partners up with a bad influence to start an underground boxing club as a relief from society. The club quickly looms out of control and begins staging violent and destructive acts on society.
One of the more interesting movies of the year, Fight Club is fantastic and very entertaining - for about two hours. With about 20 minutes left in the feature a plot twist comes along and alters your whole perception of the film. There is much being said here about modern society and the aforementioned twist just comes along and takes a bit of that relevance away; not enough to derail the entire film, but enough that you'll feel a bit cheated. It just isn't where I wanted to see the film go. That's not necessarily a bad thing...but I think I know everything.
Directed by David Fincher.
