primarily on the actual events of an executive who blows
the whistle on Big Tobacco on 60 Minutes. But the cost
is too high for CBS to air the interview.
A great situational drama that is deserving of it's
Oscar nods. Few films are "important" but
this comes at least pretty close; the subject matter
notwithstanding, The Insider also has two of the best
performances of the year in Crowe and Pacino. I don't
think the movie is necessarily too long, but some of
the time could've been better spent on prologue for
Crowe's character.
