An LA detective (Pacino) is called to a sleepy Alaskan town during a 24-hour sunlight summer to investigate the murder of a young girl. Things heat up when the killer gets some inside information on the detective.
A pretty darn good thriller lead by a harried Pacino. What starts out as a cat and mouse tale twists into a psychological drama that really has you interested in the characters.
Williams and Swank do well in the supporting roles and there's a nice directing effort here by Nolan whose previous credits include Memento.
Insomnia is a remake of a Scandinavian film of the same name,. check it out.
Directed by Christopher Nolan.
