A workaholic adman is coerced into living with a fun loving blonde for thirty days as a form of therapy.
Remake of the 1968 film. More popular with audiences than critics, Sweet November gets most of its bad rap because of Reeves. Although in recent years, Reeves has been able elevate his acting label from 'horrible' to 'unpredictable' he proves again here that he lacks the skill needed as a leading man. He's much more effective when events happen around him (see The Matrix, The Gift, Devil's Advocate) than when his character is immersed in them (see Bill & Ted, Point Break, Speed).
Charlize Theron gives another good performance, and I haven't seen Jason Isaacs do anything bad yet. The movie succeeds more as a fantasy than as a reality-based romantic drama. One the whole, Sweet November was considerably better than I expected, but Keanu was not.
