The wife of a college professor fears for her sanity when she begins seeing strange apparitions in her home.

Hitchcock would be proud. Zemeckis' first horror/suspense film is wonderful. One of the best directed films of the year and the best Harrison Ford movie since The Fugitive. The imagery and symbolism used by the director are subtle but work in a most wondrous fashion. Michelle Pfeiffer, who appears in every scene, cashes in a fine performance in a truly fine film. About three quarters of the way through, the pace starts to drag a bit, but then the excellent (and I do mean excellent) ending starts to kick in.

A suspense must-see.

Directed by Robert Zemeckis.
