Lincoln learns a shocking truth about his existence. He and Jordan make a daring escape from what was a utopian society into a strange new world.

A near-future action sci-fi show that packs a punch when it wants to. Large scale special effects are well conceived and well executed.

McGregor and Johansson give decent performaces in roles that demand physically but not so much dramatically. The Island's theatrical run, if it is remembered at all, will probably be recalled as a disappointment. Althought the title has meaning, it doesn't resemble the film at first glance and I'm sure that hurt it's showing at the box office. But look for this high-impact and ultimately pleasing film to make a big splash off the rental shelves.
